Lochmara offers a wide range of activities, from kayaking on the calm waters, exploring the property, walking on the Queen Charlotte Track, to soaking in our decadent Bath House among the punga trees or treating yourself to a relaxing massage.

Kayaks, a rowboat and snorkelling gear can be used free of charge.

You might like to explore the bushwalks and admire the birdlife, have a game of quoits, petanque or simply rest in a hammock with a book.

After dark, walk to the glow-worm grotto, lie in a hammock and star gaze or go swimming in the phosphorescence.

Sculpture Trail
The property has an 11-acre sculpture trail which we call a living gallery. It encompasses sculpture in a variety of mediums from living trees to stone, wood and mixed media. There is literally art to be found in every nook and cranny. Two galleries in the cafe/restaurant area provide a space for indoor art with changing exhibitions throughout the year.

All artwork is available for sale. A minimum of 15% of the sale price goes towards environmental projects.

Our front desk will be more than happy to help you organise dolphin watching trips, fishing trips or wine tasting tours in Blenheim.

Eco Tours
Self guided Eco Tours are available around Lochmara Lodge. We have a network of educational signs informing you of plants, animals, history, geology, conservation projects and much more. There is also interaction with endangered species breeding programs and not to mention the abundance of native birds.
