A minimum 10% of all art sales at Lochmara Lodge go directly
to Eco Artists New Zealand.
In 2007 Lochmara Lodge established this trust, to fund national conservation projects.
Eco artists share a passion for the environment. The artists endeavour to create further awareness and raise
money for national conservation projects through their art. This provides a vehicle in which the general public may contribute to
New Zealand’s unique ecology.
Because of New Zealand’s unusual evolutionary past, we hold stock to one of the world’s most unique
collection of plants and animals. Unfortunately, we have also lost proportionally more of its species in recent times than most
other countries. One in two New Zealand endemic birds and one in ten of our native plants are currently under threat of extinction.
Furthermore, a variety of endemic reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and fish species are also gravely endangered.
Artists and galleries from around New Zealand make regular donations from the sale of work to the Eco Artists New
Zealand Trust. Annually 100% of the funds, sponsor national conservation projects nominated and voted on by the registered Eco
Artists.
