Lensbaby Intensive
Mary Jo Bedford 6 - 11 May Download course outline
Join artist and photographer Mary Jo Bedford for a Lensbaby Intensive. This workshop is open to all levels from lensbaby novices to advanced users. All of the new optics will be provided (and a lensbaby if needed), but participants must bring their own DSLR camera. Participants will be meeting twice per day for lecture and sharing of images; special projects and assignments devised to inspire and stretch you, and independent time for shooting during early morning and evening 'sweet light', and time mid day to edit. At the end of the week, you will feel super confident with the lensbaby. As well, the workshop aims to have each student proficient with at least one of the special optics (pin hole, fisheye, etc). We'll also be covering processing and editing of LB images in Lightroom. Some work with the macro lenses is also included
In Sight Photography Workshop... where word and images meet
Sally Mason 11 - 16 May Download course outline
Creative images can convey great depth of feeling…so can the written word. Put the two together and you are in for a sensory journey of heightened awareness. In this workshop we will explore both methods of communication, interlace them, and blend to give each a deeper meaning. All will be guided to understand themselves and why they feel the way they feel – then to incorporate this into a very personal approach to their picture making and writing. The workshop will consist of a series of lectures and slide shows, photo shoots and writing time every day, with time to download your images and select some to share each day along with your written words. It is expected that participants will be familiar with the basic use of their cameras – tuition will be given on the creative use of camera techniques.
